Account information: Your name, email address, store name, and selling platform when you create an account.
Uploaded images: Photos of returned merchandise that you upload for inspection and grading. These images may contain product packaging, labels, or incidental content captured during photography.
Inspection data: Condition grades, defect descriptions, disposition recommendations, and listing copy generated from your uploaded images.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the platform.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and session cookies used to maintain your login.

Provide the returns inspection and grading service
Generate AI-powered condition grades, defect documentation, and listing copy
Improve the accuracy of our AI grading models over time
Send you service-related emails (inspection results, account notifications)

Important — Image Usage for AI Training: By uploading images to ReVista, you grant ReVista a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use those images to train, improve, and validate our AI grading models. Your images are never shared with other merchants, sold to third parties, or used for any purpose outside of improving the ReVista service.

4. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following trusted third parties to operate our service:

AI processing provider: Uploaded images are sent to a third-party AI API for analysis and grading. Images are processed in real-time and are not retained by this provider beyond the processing request.
Database and storage: Your account data and uploaded images are stored with a cloud database provider with enterprise-grade security and encryption.
Payment processing: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe. We never store your credit card information directly.
Analytics: We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the platform is used.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

Encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL)
Row-level security ensuring merchants can only access their own data
Access controls limiting who within ReVista can access your data
Regular security reviews

While we take security seriously, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your ReVista account.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Uploaded images and inspection records are retained indefinitely to support AI model improvement — this is core to our service. If you close your account, we will delete your personal account information within 30 days. Anonymized inspection data may be retained for model training purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to our retention policy above)
Portability: Request your data in a portable format
Objection: Object to certain uses of your data

8. GDPR (European Users)

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging into the platform.

ReVista is a business tool not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
